This is one of the pins in the middle of his leg --that seems to have a "hole" of sorts, filling with amber drainage.
These are the top pins which are also draining -- somewhat clear, but also greenish looking at times.
Tomorrow --these have to be checked. For tonight, nurse Granny in Virginia is reading the blog for the sole purpose of offering her opinion!
You know I love looking at these pictures. =)It's times like these we need our Mommas!!! Praying that this is normal and no cause for alarm. Love those babies for us and give the big babies a good ole squeeze too. Love you. Jackie
ReplyDeletePraying this is normal, not a sign of infection, and praising God for all of the great things that He has done so far. Thank you for being such an encouragement to me & to so many others during this trial in your own life. I miss you! Much love and many blessings! Tanya
ReplyDeleteHA, yea I remember these. I have Fibular Hemimelia, and I remember vividly the infections I used to get, none of them ever made me sick, but I got sores just like these. I would recommend some sort of disinfectant for the sore, just in case it does develop into something nasty. I also see that you chose to not amputate, same as my parents, and I have to say that it was the most painful thing for both me and my parents to go through. TRY TO GET ANESTHESIA FOR WHEN THEY REMOVE THE KFO (or whatever you have)!!! I WENT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE WITH ONLY A LOCAL TO NUMB THE PAIN AND IT WAS MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!
